Biosafety Consultant

Sitero is seeking an experienced Biosafety professional to assist with compliance and safety in a multi-faceted series of projects, with an emphasis on IBC and the NIH guidelines.

We are looking for thought leaders in the field that want to help shape future directions in biosafety. These consultants may be asked to participate in Webinars or postings about Biosafety related topics. In addition to supporting the Biosafety Services at Sitero, they may be featured on our website or in marketing material as advisors. ABSA Credentials are preferred, but not required.

This is a fully remote part-time position with flexible hours. All consultants will be employed as independent contractors with Sitero and required to sign NDAs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks on Biosafety contracts as directed
  • Review IBC protocols for compliance with NIH guidelines
  • Provide thought leadership for Biosafety initiatives
  • Provide clear communication of timelines and resource allocation
  • Support the Sitero Biosafety team in reviewing and creating internal documents
  • Support Sitero business development for thought leadership webinars, whitepapers and other social media

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field
  • ABSA International credentials as RBP and/or CBSP preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
  • Experience in biosafety operations and IBC Compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
